The defense of the murderer who killed Şeyda Yılmaz that made everyone say "enough": A request for a decision to be tried without detention.

Two nights ago, Yunus Emre G. (19), who was detained at the Dudullu Police Station in Istanbul for motorcycle theft and was found to have 26 separate criminal records, escaped from the police station. Police officers K.H.S. and Şeyda Yılmaz, who were on duty at the station, pursued the fleeing suspect.

HE MARTYRED A POLICE OFFICER

Suspect Yunus Emre G was caught after a brief chase, during which a scuffle broke out. The suspect took the police officer's gun and fired into the crowd, resulting in the martyrdom of police officer Şeyda Yılmaz. In the incident, police officer K.H.S. and the suspect's mother P.G. (43) were injured.

HE WAS TAKEN TO THE COURT IN A TRASH BAG

After the incident, the suspect was quickly apprehended and, after completing the necessary procedures at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch, was placed in a black trash bag by female police officers and taken to the vehicle of the Environmental, Nature, and Animal Protection Bureau, then transferred to the Anadolu Courthouse. The individual was arrested and sent to prison.

"I HEARD MY MOTHER'S SCREAM"

According to a report by Sabah; details of Yunus Emre Geçti's first statement have also been revealed. He confessed to using drugs and defended himself with the following words: "Until five months ago, I was using drugs. Previously, I was smoking bonzai and marijuana. The police took me to the Dudullu police station. They made us identify regarding the theft issue. They took our statements. Then the police told me, 'You will wait.' My mother, father, grandfather, and grandmother also came. Then I heard my mother's scream. I jumped over the wall of the police station. When I jumped, I saw my father. When my father saw me, he ran away. I went out to help my mother. Since our statements were taken, I didn't think I was escaping.

"I DID NOT SEE THAT THEY WERE POLICE"

I was going home when I encountered my rivals on the way. They attacked me. My girlfriend is the sister of these individuals. At that moment, a civilian car arrived there. While I was being beaten by these individuals, I saw a gun on the ground. I was shot in my left arm. I heard my mother scream that she was shot. There was a barrel there, and I saw the end of the gun. I did not see that they were police. They had come in a civilian vehicle.

"I REQUEST TO BE TRIED WITHOUT ARREST"

I realized later that they were in uniform when I watched the footage from the cameras. I fired two shots at that barrel. I left the gun there and walked towards my home. Then the guards saw me. I surrendered to them. I did not even realize that there was a woman in front of me. I did not injure the other wounded individuals either. I did not take a gun from anyone. I saw it on the ground. I do not accept the accusation. I did not commit a crime intentionally. I request to be tried without arrest."
