The second hearing of the case regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran has begun in Diyarbakır. During the hearing, which is being closely followed by all of Turkey, the statements made by Narin's father, Arif Güran, brought tears to the courtroom. The statements made by the father, Arif Güran, in this case that has captivated Turkey brought tears to the entire courtroom.

ARIF GÜRAN DEFENDED HIS WIFE

Lawyer Bedia Teymur, the Editor-in-Chief of Haberler.com, reported the events in the courtroom from outside the Diyarbakır Courthouse. Teymur noted that Arif Güran, who he described as very tense, sad, and angry during the hearing, defended his wife, Yüksel Güran.

"EVERY TIME 'NARIN' WAS MENTIONED, SHE CRIED"

Teymur stated that every time the name 'Narin' was mentioned during Arif Güran's speech, mother Yüksel Güran cried. According to Bedia Teymur, Arif Güran said, "I had another daughter who was 8 years old, she was disabled. This daughter never slept at night. This mother patiently took care of this child until she was 8 years old. I know my wife of 22 years. I know how good a mother she is."

"YOU SLANDERED ME, I LEAVE YOU TO GOD"

Bedia Teymur expressed that Arif Güran frequently used the phrase "They are tarnishing our honor." Teymur noted that when Arif Güran mentioned 'honor', mother Yüksel Güran tried to stand up, and he also stated that Arif Güran turned to the informant Nevzat Bahtiyar several times and said, "You slandered me, I leave you to God." Teymur reported that during the mother's cries, brother Enes Güran also cried and wanted to go outside.

"WE WANT JUSTICE"

On the other hand, Teymur mentioned that emotional moments were also experienced in the courtroom, stating that relatives of the Güran family were crying and shouting "We want justice," and that a break was given in the hearing due to the unrest in the atmosphere.
