Members of the DEM Party's Imrali Committee, Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, visited Selahattin Demirtaş, the former co-chair of the HDP, and Adnan Selçuk Mızraklı, the former co-mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, who are detained in Edirne Prison. In a statement made by the committee regarding the visit, it was said: 'Our friends stated that the passage of the framework law with great support in the Turkish Grand National Assembly is very valuable, and they believe that all parties will do their part for the implementation of the law.'

In a statement made by the delegation after the visit, the following was noted: "Our friends' morale was high, and they sent their greetings to everyone. They said they have been closely following the process to the extent that prison conditions allow. In the meeting, we informed our friends about the framework law and the current stage of the process, and we received their evaluations and suggestions.
Our friends stated that the passage of the framework law with great support from the Turkish Grand National Assembly is very valuable, and they believe that all parties will do their part for the implementation of the law. They emphasized that everyone's contribution is of great importance for the healthy functioning of the process.

As we have always expressed, our friends should no longer be deprived of their freedom, even for a single hour. This is a requirement of both justice and the nature of the process. The resolution of this unlawfulness that Demirtaş and other politicians in prison have been subjected to for years will make a significant contribution to the establishment of the peace and democracy that we all need, especially in this new era that the framework law has opened the door to."
