For a long time, the acceptance of only 200 TL banknotes at ATMs and the low transaction limits applied were insufficient to meet customers' needs. This situation particularly caused problems in high-value deposit and withdrawal transactions.

ATM DEPOSIT AND WITHDRAWAL LIMITS HAVE CHANGED

Banks that provided a solution to this issue took an important step. With the new regulation, it has started to be possible to deposit up to 185,000 TL daily at ATMs using cards and QR codes. Thus, customers will be able to deposit large amounts more quickly and easily through ATMs.

LOCATION-BASED ATM DIFFERENTIATION HAS STARTED

The withdrawal limits applied at ATMs have been updated to vary according to the location of the ATM. While the daily cash withdrawal limit at independent ATMs located in public places such as shopping malls, streets, or metro stations is between 10,000 and 15,000 TL, these limits have increased to 35,000 to 50,000 TL at branch ATMs. Banks aim to provide location-based flexibility in transactions with this differentiation.
