TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz stated the following regarding the issue: "Since there is no decision reached for Fenerbahçe yet, we continue the draw without disrupting the routine." FORMATThe group matches will be played with the participation of 24 teams in 4 groups of 6 teams each. In a statement made by the TFF, it was said, "It has been decided that the Turkey Cup will be played in a new format in the 2024-2025 season. The new format, shaped by the report presented to the TFF Board of Directors after the value-enhancing work done by the Hypercube company, which prepared the format of the Champions League at the beginning of the season, will consist of elimination rounds, group matches, and final stages. The elimination and final stages will be played in a single-match elimination format. The group matches will be played according to the Swiss System, which will also be applied in the Champions League next season, with the participation of 24 teams in 4 groups of 6 teams. The rule that the seeded team plays at home in the current elimination rounds will not be applied in the new format." According to the statement, in the new format, the 24 teams that will gain the right to participate in the groups will be divided into 3 pots according to their league and success rankings, and 6 teams will form a group with 2 teams from each pot. Each team in the group will play a total of 3 matches, one against a team from pots A, B, and C. The teams that finish in the top 2 positions in the group matches will advance to the quarter-finals.
