The Turkey Earthquake Map for 2025 has been published by AFAD. Following the recent earthquakes in Van and Amasya, citizens have started to research the provinces with the least earthquake risk. A total of 23 cities in Turkey, which are far from active fault lines and have low seismic activity, have been identified.
The latest Turkey Earthquake Hazard Map published by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has updated regions, especially those far from active fault lines. After consecutive earthquakes centered in Van and Sinop, citizens were curious about the safest provinces. According to a list confirmed by experts, many provinces from Central Anatolia, the Black Sea, and Southeastern Anatolia are among the cities with the least earthquake risk.
THESE 23 PROVINCES ARE SAFE
These provinces are listed as Aksaray, Ankara, Antalya, Artvin, Bartın, Edirne, Giresun, Karaman, Kastamonu, Kırıkkale, Kırklareli, Kırşehir, Konya, Mardin, Nevşehir, Niğde, Rize, Samsun, Siirt, Sinop, Trabzon, Yozgat, Zonguldak.
