Documents made public, including correspondence belonging to American sex offender and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, are sparking new debates every day. A press release sent to Epstein was also among the published documents. The release revealed that world-famous figures supporting Gaza were blacklisted as "anti-Israel."
JNS PRESS RELEASE EMERGED FROM THE DOCUMENTS
One of the striking correspondences found in the Epstein files was a press release prepared by the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS). An email sent to Epstein on August 6, 2014, showed that many celebrities reacting to the events in Gaza were flagged under the title "anti-Israel celebrities."
CELEBRITIES LABELED FOR SUPPORTING PALESTINE
The release indicated that numerous names, including Zayn Malik, Danny Glover, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem, were classified as "anti-Israel" for supporting Palestine. The document also specifically mentioned the brands these celebrities collaborated with.
WHO IS ON THE LIST?
The JNS bulletin listed the names of those who raised their voices against the events in Gaza at that time. Some notable celebrities and their reasons are as follows:
Stevie Wonder: He was added to the list for withdrawing from an event supporting the Israel Defense Forces.
Zayn Malik: He was listed for his posts supporting Palestine on social media.
Penelope Cruz: She was included for signing a statement criticizing Israel's operations in Gaza; the document emphasized her collaborations with famous cosmetic brands.
Javier Bardem: He signed the same statement with his wife Penelope Cruz; he was included on the list for his strong criticisms of Israeli policies.
Emma Thompson: She signed an open letter boycotting the performances of the Israeli Habima Theater in London.
Roger Waters: He was listed for supporting the pro-Palestinian BDS movement for many years and for his strong statements against Israel.
Dustin Hoffman: His criticisms of Israeli policies were cited as the reason.
Danny Glover: He was included for his pro-Palestinian statements and activism.
ZAYN MALIK HAD NOT DELETED HIS POST
A section particularly dedicated to Zayn Malik stood out in the documents. It was noted that Malik, who was a member of One Direction at the time, made a post on Twitter with the hashtag #FreePalestine during the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Unlike Rihanna, who shared the same hashtag but later deleted her post, Malik did not delete his post, which was retweeted approximately 200,000 times.
