Prof. Dr. Kut Sarpyener, a leading figure in the orthopedic community, has passed away. Sarpyener's funeral will be held at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery following a memorial ceremony at Marmara University Anadoluhisarı Campus.
Prof. Dr. Kut Sarpyener, a leading figure in the Turkish orthopedics, traumatology, and sports health community, has passed away at the age of 91.
Prof. Dr. Sarpyener, who was a faculty member at Marmara University and Halic University, served as the president of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association and the Anadoluhisarı Sports Academy.
A CEREMONY WILL BE HELD TOMORROW
A memorial ceremony for Prof. Dr. Kut Sarpyener, son of Münir Ahmet Sarpyener, who was also a pioneer in the establishment and advancement of the orthopedics and traumatology department in Turkey, will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Marmara University Anadoluhisarı Campus.
Sarpyener's funeral will be held after the noon prayer at Zincirlikuyu Mosque and then laid to rest in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
