Security teams monitoring the business at the entrance of a 6-story building in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul, uncovered a drug production facility disguised as a store during a raid.
STORE FROM THE OUTSIDE, DRUG NEST FROM THE INSIDE
Neighborhood residents, suspicious of the strange smell coming from the women's clothing store, reported it to the police. The police conducted an operation at the store from which the smell was emanating and discovered that the place known as a clothing store was actually a drug production facility.
PLANTED IN POTS
According to a special report by Büşra Seyis from Ekol TV, security teams that directed their attention to the source of the smell seized drug substances planted in pots and a chemically supported growing system. While the drugs were taken away for destruction, the store was closed.
"THE SMELL IS COMING OUT"
A neighborhood resident, speaking to Ekol TV microphones about the issue, stated, "This place was closed, they had sealed it all off, isolated it. So there was no chance for any smell to come out from here. Yesterday, the forces cleaned up those areas, opened everything. That's why the smell is coming outside."
