It was reported that Uğur Baycan (37), who killed his ex-wife Havva Çubukçu (34), the mother of his two children, and then committed suicide with the same gun, had previously assaulted and threatened his ex-wife when he broke into her house.

KILLED HIS EX-WIFE WITH A GUN
The incident occurred at a house on 2169 Street in the Muhittin Erenler neighborhood during the night. A dispute broke out between Havva Çubukçu and her ex-husband, metal worker Uğur Baycan, who had come to her house. During the argument that spilled into the street, Baycan fired at Çubukçu with the gun he had with him.
As Çubukçu collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, neighbors who heard the screams and gunshots reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon inspection, the teams determined that Çubukçu had lost her life.
COMMITTED SUICIDE
After fleeing the scene, Baycan shortly thereafter shot himself with the weapon he used for the crime on 1925 Street in the Refik İnce neighborhood. The lifeless bodies of Baycan and Çubukçu were taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy after the prosecutor's examination.
HE WAS CONSTANTLY THREATENING
It was reported that the couple ended their marriage 2 years ago, and Uğur Baycan had been constantly threatening Çubukçu, who is a mother of 2 children, 1 of whom is a girl, after their divorce, and had previously assaulted her at her home.
