Clinical psychologist and author Mert Koçak explained the Incel movement and the characteristics of its participants in the Haberler.com studio. Koçak stated that this movement is generally a group created by men who belittle women and experience a lack of self-confidence. He noted that those who participate in the movement typically have weak social relationships, poor family dynamics, and emotional deficiencies, emphasizing that children need to be cautious.

Clinical psychologist and author Mert Koçak was a guest of presenter Melis Yaşar in the Haberler.com studio. Koçak explained what the Incel movement is and the characteristics of individuals who are members of this group.

"WOMEN ARE VERY VALUABLE IN THE INCEL GROUP"

By explaining the basic ideologies of individuals in the Incel group and drawing attention to the danger, Koçak stated, "Incel is actually a term that our society does not know well. It is actually an abbreviation of an English word, 'involuntary celibate,' meaning involuntarily single. Incel creates a group and includes people who feel inadequate in certain emotions into this group, and they carry out a movement there. Incel is a group formed by men, generally a group that belittles women more. It is a community that is not accepted by their families, rejected by women, and suffers from a lack of self-confidence. In the Incel group, women are considered very worthless, and it is a male community that argues and believes that all men in the world should be more valuable beings than women."

"CHILDREN WITH EMOTIONAL DEFICIENCIES JOIN THIS MOVEMENT"

Answering the question of why people join the Incel group, Koçak said, "This happens especially in asocial individuals. It occurs more in individuals who do not have good relationships with family members, do not have good relationships with people, and do not have good social interactions, who generally experience a lack of self-confidence. There is actually no familial repair. This child wants to feel like they belong to a group due to the emotional deficiencies they experience within themselves. This is a very deep topic. The likelihood of substance addiction stemming from this is very high and has a significant impact. If a child's communication with their parents is lacking, and if they are not receiving sufficiently healthy emotions, the child will want to belong somewhere."
