Minister Güler and General Bayraktaroğlu expressed their sorrow over the tragic accident, extending their condolences to both the families and the friendly and brotherly Libyan people. During the condolence visit, the Qur'an was recited, and prayers were offered for the deceased Libyan military delegation.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The jet, which took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport heading to Tripoli and included Libya's Chief of General Staff General Muhammed Ali Al-Haddad, crashed in the mountainous area of Kesikkavak village in Haymana district. Eight people, including five soldiers, lost their lives in the accident.
