In Kilis, 40 sheep perished in a barn that collapsed due to heavy rainfall, and the owner of the animals requested assistance from the authorities to cover the damages.
Heavy rainfall that was effective in Kilis during the night caused serious damage. Dozens of animals perished due to the collapse of a barn in the village of Mağaracık.
THE BARN COULDN'T WITHSTAND THE RAIN
After the heavy rain that started in the city at night, a part of the barn belonging to Hanifi Arslan collapsed. It was learned that 40 of the sheep in the barn lost their lives, while some animals were also injured.
TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE AREA
Upon notification, gendarmerie and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. While the teams began an investigation in the area, the extent of the damage became apparent.
“I HAD 138 ANIMALS”
The barn owner Hanifi Arslan recounted the events, saying, “The incident happened at night. I had 138 animals in the barn. We heard a sound at night, and when we went outside, we saw that the wall of the barn had collapsed. 40 of my animals perished.”
CALL TO AUTHORITIES
Stating that the barn collapsed due to a landslide, Arslan requested support from the authorities to cover the damages he incurred.
