Minister Işıkhan stated that the minimum wage will be announced this week, saying, "The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will meet on Thursday or Friday, and the minimum wage for 2025 will be determined." TÜRK-İŞ'S DEMAND IS 29,583 LIRAAfter the first three meetings where no figures were discussed, TÜRK-İŞ held a press conference to announce its minimum wage demand, requesting a 45% increase along with a 20% welfare share, and announced that their minimum wage demand is 29,583 lira. THE FINAL WORD WILL BE SPOKEN BY ERDOĞANWhile TÜRK-İŞ's demand was not received very positively by employers, it is expected that the figure will be raised at the bargaining table. The minimum wage negotiations are expected to start with at least a 40% increase, while it is widely believed that the final word will be spoken by President Erdoğan. It is also being loudly discussed in the corridors that Erdoğan may raise the increase rate to around 45% to partially meet the workers' demand.
