A fire caused by a drone hitting a fuel depot near Dubai International Airport has been brought under control. Flights were temporarily suspended, but are being gradually resumed.
It was reported that the fire caused by the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) hitting the fuel depot near Dubai International Airport has been extinguished.
FIRE UNDER CONTROL
The Dubai Government Media Office provided information about the fire at Dubai International Airport in a statement made on the account of the US-based company X on its social platform. The statement mentioned that "the fire in the fuel depots has been extinguished by civil defense teams," and it was reported that cooling operations are still ongoing.
ATTACK CARRIED OUT THE PREVIOUS DAY
The Media Office had announced that all flights were temporarily suspended due to the fire caused by the UAV hitting a fuel tank near Dubai International Airport during the night hours.
In a news report published by the UAE's official agency WAM, it was stated that flights temporarily suspended at Dubai International Airport were gradually being resumed to some destinations.
