In a statement made by the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on November 28, it was reported that a tanker named VIRAT was hit approximately 35 nautical miles offshore in the Black Sea, and rescue units and a commercial vessel were directed to the scene.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu also reported that the health status of the 20 crew members on the vessel named VIRAT is good.

In the ministry's statement on November 30, it was mentioned that the towing operation related to the vessel was ongoing and that the ship was planned to be brought to Türkeli Port.
