According to the amendment made by the Ministry of National Education to the Regulation on Secondary Education Institutions, students who fail a grade due to absenteeism will be able to continue their education at school, provided that they sign a contract with a business for the following year.

The "Regulation on Amendments to the Regulation on Secondary Education Institutions of the Ministry of National Education," which includes changes regarding the operation of schools, teacher assignments, student transfers, and diploma arrangements, has been published in the Official Gazette.

REPORT OBLIGATION FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT ATTEND PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS

According to the regulation, it has become mandatory for teachers and administrators assigned to schools that admit students based on central exam scores to participate in training determined by the Ministry at the National Education Academy. The selection, evaluation, and monitoring processes of schools admitting students through central exams have been reorganized. Commissions have been established at the provincial and ministry levels to introduce more transparent and objective criteria in the identification of these schools. A report obligation has been introduced for students with special educational needs who are unable to participate in activities in physical education classes.

NEW CONDITION FOR THOSE WHO FAIL DUE TO ABSENCE

It has been stated that diplomas that are worn out to the point of being unusable or lost will not be reissued; instead, a certificate of educational status will be issued. It has been stipulated that students who are considered unsuccessful due to absenteeism and have the right to education will be allowed to continue their education in the next academic year, provided they sign a contract with a business.

Regulations have been made regarding the equivalency procedures for foreign students, and it has been stipulated that these students will be entitled to receive a diploma if they register by the end of October. In cases where there is no assistant principal with a background in workshop and laboratory teaching at the school, it has been stated that an eligible assistant principal can carry out this duty.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS

It has been stipulated that in-service training will be provided to foreign language teachers by the General Directorate of Teacher Training and Development. Necessary measures will be taken to protect students from all kinds of negative behaviors in the educational environment, and cooperation with parents will be established. It has been decided that the responsibility exams to be conducted in Turkish Language and Literature and Foreign Language classes will be held in two stages: written and practical. The Minister of National Education will implement the provisions of the regulation.
