Turkey welcomed 2 million 171 thousand 118 foreign visitors in January. According to a statement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkey, which made a strong start in tourism for the year 2025, experienced a 6.06% increase in the number of foreign visitors in January compared to the same month of the previous year.

Thus, in January of this year, 2 million 171 thousand 118 foreign visitors came to Turkey. Among the countries that sent the most visitors to Turkey in January, Iran ranked first with 240 thousand 643 people, the Russian Federation ranked second with 203 thousand 733 people, and Bulgaria ranked third with 165 thousand 792 people. Bulgaria was followed by Germany and Georgia, respectively.
