Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran's new President Ebrahim Raisi. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced in a statement on July 31 that an attack had been carried out on Haniyeh's residence in Tehran.
