The former village headman, who fled after killing the mother of his six children in Şırnak, was caught while hiding in the countryside. The murderous husband was taken into custody by the gendarmerie and was arrested and sent to prison.
On March 24, a massacre occurred in the Kolgezer village of Cizre district in Şırnak. The former village head, Abdulkerim Ergül (65), shot and killed Nasibe Ergül (49), the mother of his 6 children. He also attempted to kill the village grocer, M.Ş.D., but was unsuccessful, and then fled the scene.
CAUGHT WHILE HIDING
As part of the investigation, gendarmerie teams captured the suspect, Abdulkerim E. (65), while he was hiding in the area between Kaya village in Cizre and Özbek village in İdil district of Şırnak.
ARRESTED
Abdulkerim Ergül, who was taken into custody by the gendarmerie, was arrested by the Peace Criminal Court on charges of "intentional murder" after his statement at the police station and was sent to prison.
