It has been learned that the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) will assign a local referee for the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray derby. The Beşiktaş management had requested that the derby match be officiated by a foreign referee. However, the TFF's decision favored a local referee. Although there has been no official statement, according to information obtained from federation sources, there is a 90% likelihood that a Turkish referee will officiate the match scheduled for March 29.
It has been reported that the Turkish Football Federation has made a decision regarding whether a local or foreign referee will be appointed for the Beşiktaş - Galatasaray derby, which will be played in the 29th week of the Super League.
CLAIM OF LOCAL REFEREE IN THE AGENDA
Especially Beşiktaş had made an official application to the TFF for a foreign referee to officiate the derby match against Galatasaray at home but had not received a response. According to a report by Sabah, it was noted that the President of the Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, and many officials are in favor of a local referee, and therefore a Turkish referee will officiate the Beşiktaş - Galatasaray match.
LOCAL REFEREE UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON
Although there has been no official statement on the matter, according to information obtained by Sabah from federation insiders; it is expected that a Turkish referee will officiate the match on March 29 with a 90% probability, and this practice will continue for the matches to be played until the end of the season. It was also noted that the Central Referee Committee's opinion is in this direction.
