Despite being banned in a barracks near the capital Paris, a soldier was shot in the head and killed during a game played among soldiers who were drinking alcohol and organizing events all night. Four soldiers have been detained in connection with the incident.
An soldier in France was shot in the head and died while drinking alcohol with his friends at the barracks on February 14. The Military Governor of Paris, Loic Mizon, announced on his social media account that the name of the deceased soldier was Alexandre Lanckbeen.

The Paris Prosecutor's Office reported that the incident occurred on February 14 at the Percy Military Training Hospital in the Clamart commune near the capital, Paris. According to the prosecutor's statement, despite the ban on alcohol consumption at the facility, some soldiers procured alcohol and organized an event throughout the evening.
