A 29-year-old man, who introduced himself as a "kitchen staff" member, entered a girls' student dormitory in Avcılar. He went from room to room, committing thefts. The man entered four rooms where girl students, whom he had been following for a while and who were getting dressed to go to school, were present, and he made friendship proposals to them. Following the scandal, the students protested the dormitory management.
A scandalous incident occurred around 07:30 in a girls' student dormitory located in the Firuzköy neighborhood of the Avcılar district in Istanbul. According to the allegations, a person named M.K. (29) entered the dormitory by introducing himself as a "kitchen staff".
HE OFFERED FRIENDSHIP TO THE GIRLS HE FOLLOWED
The suspect went from room to room on the floors, stealing some belongings. The suspect entered 4 rooms where university girls, whom he had been following for a while and who were getting dressed to go to school, were present and offered them friendship. Upon the reaction of a young girl and the other students asking for help, the dormitory security personnel caught M.K.
HE TURNED OUT TO BE A CRIME MACHINE
The suspect was handed over to the police team that arrived upon the report. M.K., who was taken into custody, was brought to the police station. It was determined that the suspect had stolen a wallet and a sum of money from the girls' rooms. Investigations conducted by the police revealed that the suspect M.K. had 21 criminal records for offenses such as "Intentional injury", "Threat", and "Drug-related crimes".
STUDENTS REVOLTED
After the incident that occurred in the morning, students protested the management in front of the dormitory in the evening. The crowd, consisting of both female and male students, was seen chanting slogans in front of the dormitory for a long time while holding placards that read, "Security is asleep, students are in danger." The students later returned to their dormitories upon warnings from the police.
