As part of a drug investigation, Sadettin Saran, the President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, was summoned for questioning and released under judicial control. A search was also conducted at his villa in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale. Following the searches, the villa's caretaker, H.D., was taken into custody.
Sadettin Saran, the President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, who is facing charges of 'supplying narcotic substances' and 'facilitating the use of narcotic substances' in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has been summoned for a statement.
Sadettin Saran, who was abroad, arrived in Istanbul by private jet late at night to give his statement to the prosecutor's office. He was welcomed by Fenerbahçe fans at the General Aviation Terminal of Atatürk Airport and then went to the Istanbul Courthouse to provide his statement.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
Saran's statement process has been completed. The statement lasted approximately 2 hours. Saran was referred to the Forensic Medicine Institution for blood and hair samples. After about 45 minutes of procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institution, Saran was brought back to the Istanbul Courthouse. He was released under the condition of a travel ban and judicial control.
SEARCH CONDUCTED AT HIS VILLA IN ÇANAKKALE
While the statement process of Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Sadettin Saran was ongoing, a search was also conducted at his villa located in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale.
VILLA GUARD DETAINED
Following the search conducted by gendarmerie teams, the guard of the villa located in Kuruoba Village, H.D., was detained. It has been learned that H.D.'s statement will be taken in Istanbul.
