The claim that Fatoş Pınar Türker, the General Manager of İBB Media Inc., who has been detained since March 23 in the İBB case, was subjected to a strip search has caused a significant public outcry. The General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses denied the allegations that Türker was subjected to a strip search.
In a statement made from CTE's account on Nsosyal, it was noted that there was a need for a clarification to inform the public correctly regarding the news and posts published by some media outlets and social media platforms, claiming that the General Manager of İBB Media Inc., Fatoş Pınar Türker, was subjected to a strip search.
"PROCEDURES ARE BEING CARRIED OUT WITH DILIGENCE"
The statement included the following remarks: "The acceptance of convicts and detainees into penal institutions, body searches, and placement procedures are being carried out meticulously based on the provisions of the regulations related to Law No. 5275 on the Execution of Sentences and Security Measures. All procedures conducted in our institutions are carried out in accordance with the principles of respect for human dignity, the rule of law, transparency, proportionality, and the protection of personal rights."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
It was claimed that the General Manager of İBB's subsidiary Media Inc., who has been detained since March 23 in the İBB case, was subjected to a strip search. Türker's lawyers had applied to the Constitutional Court regarding this issue and the request for the removal of her detention.
