Before the discussions on the Ministry of Interior's budget, a scuffle broke out in the Parliament. CHP deputies confronted Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya in front of the meeting room, wanting to make him wait for "one minute." A scuffle occurred as Yerlikaya and AK Party deputies tried to enter the room.
SHOUTING FILLED THE ROOM
The tension between CHP deputies and Minister Yerlikaya continued in the room where the meeting was held. During the argument between CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır and Minister Yerlikaya, their shouting echoed throughout the room.
PROTEST AGAINST MINISTER YERLİKAYA
Many CHP deputies, led by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, began to wait for Minister Yerlikaya before the meeting, holding placards that read "The trustee is an assault on the will of the people." As Yerlikaya arrived to participate in the discussions, CHP members blocked the entrance to the room. Reminding that their entry to the municipality building was banned after a trustee was appointed to Esenyurt Municipality, the CHP members wanted to prevent Yerlikaya's entry into the room for one minute.
MINISTER YERLİKAYA SLAPPED THE CAMERA
As Minister Yerlikaya, AK Party deputies, and security police tried to enter the room, a scuffle broke out between them and CHP deputies. During the scuffle, Yerlikaya slapped the camera of ANKA News Agency, which was trying to capture the incident. After the Minister and AK Party members entered the room, the tension escalated further.
