A 66-year-old nursing home resident, identified as having sent harassment messages and inappropriate videos to Tuğba Tufantepe, the vocalist of Ajda Pekkan, has been charged with sexual harassment.
Tuğba Tufantepe (42), Ajda Pekkan's vocalist, filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office due to receiving harassing messages and inappropriate videos via social media. Following the complaint, the source of the messages was identified in the investigation that was initiated.
THE HARASSER TURNED OUT TO BE A NURSING HOME RESIDENT
As part of the investigation conducted by the prosecutor's office, it was determined that the person sending the aforementioned messages and videos was 66-year-old Özkan B., who lives in a nursing home in Istanbul. The suspect Özkan B. admitted in his statement that he sent the messages, while suggesting that the videos might have been sent by other residents of the nursing home.
REQUEST FOR IMPRISONMENT FROM THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
According to the news by Ali Rıza Akbulut from Sabah; the prosecutor's office, finding the suspect's defense insufficient, filed a lawsuit against Özkan B. with a request for up to 2 years in prison for the crime of "sexual harassment." The trial process is expected to begin in the coming days.
"I WAS HARASSED WITH CONSTANT MESSAGES"
In addition to being Ajda Pekkan's vocalist, Tuğba Tufantepe, who is also the soloist of the Tarık Sezer Orchestra, stated in her testimony that she lives in Dubai. The artist said that she received messages containing expressions like "My love, my baby" continuously and that she felt seriously disturbed by this situation.
