U.S. President Donald Trump announced a tough step against countries supplying military weapons to Iran, stating that a 50% tariff would be applied to these countries without exception.
US President Donald Trump made striking statements regarding the ceasefire talks with Iran. Trump announced that a large portion of the 15 conditions presented by the US have been agreed upon.
"TALKS ARE CONTINUING"
Stating that negotiations regarding customs duties and the easing of sanctions with Iran are ongoing, Trump said, "We are discussing customs duties and the easing of sanctions with Iran and we will continue to discuss. An agreement has already been reached on most of the 15 items."
50% TAX ON COUNTRIES PROVIDING WEAPONS TO IRAN
Shortly after his first statement, Trump made a second announcement, revealing that a tough step would be taken against countries providing military support to Iran. Trump stated, "A 50% customs duty will be imposed immediately on any country providing military weapons to Iran. There will be no exceptions or exemptions."
ISRAEL IS IN A BAD MESS
On the other hand, former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid's member of parliament from the main opposition Future Party (Yesh Atid), Meirav Ben Ari, reacted to the temporary ceasefire decision with Iran, labeling the Netanyahu government as a pawn of US President Donald Trump.
Opposition MP Ari, in a statement made on the X social media platform, said, "It is 7:40 in the morning and not a single official is addressing Israeli citizens to explain this ceasefire. Just like in Gaza, the temporary (ceasefire) will become permanent and no one here will be the decision-maker. There is a president in the US (Donald Trump) and he is the one in charge. The leadership here (Netanyahu government) is just a group of pawns."
