Ilker Sünneli, the husband of the famous oriental dancer Tanyeli, who fought against pancreatic cancer and passed away at the age of 54, made an emotional post on social media. Sünneli, who stood by his wife throughout her illness, visited her grave and wrote, "Today I bent down to your grave and called out to you, maybe you can hear me and rise."
Years ago, Tanyeli moved abroad, but in 2023, he returned to Turkey to undergo stomach surgery. After the surgery, Tanyeli achieved the desired appearance, but he learned the painful truth by chance. While he was enjoying the happiness of regaining his former shape, he was devastated by the bad news he received. Due to health issues, Tanyeli had sought medical attention and learned that he had pancreatic cancer. After a long battle with cancer, Tanyeli passed away at the age of 54 on March 17. The famous figure's health had deteriorated in recent days, and he had been intubated in the hospital where he was receiving treatment. Tanyeli's death plunged his loved ones and close friends into deep sorrow.
Tanyeli's funeral was held at the Zincirlikuyu Mosque, after which he was laid to rest. Following the wishes of the famous oriental dancer, Tanyeli was buried next to his mother, who lost her battle with cancer in 2015, in the family cemetery in Bodrum, alongside the legendary Yeşilçam star Dolgan Sezer.
