These posts under titles like "Which of us can pass through the toll booths faster?" were showcasing the deadly dance of drivers who disregard traffic safety. However, the Highway Gendarmerie Technical Inspection Team of the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command put an end to this madness.

TOLL BOOTH ENTRANCES AND EXITS MONITORED

The Gendarmerie teams, which detected the posts made on social media, monitored the toll booth entrance and exit points and identified those participating in this dangerous trend one by one.

HEAVY PENALTY IMPOSED ON THE DRIVER

The driver named M.Ö., who passed through the HGS toll booth at a speed of 110 km/h on April 20, was caught by the Poyrazköy Highway Gendarmerie Station teams. The driver was fined a total of 6320 TL in administrative penalties under articles 73/C, 47/1-c, 46/2-c, and 56/1-a of Law No. 2918.

DRIVER'S LICENSE CONFISCATED, RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL

Detained upon the instruction of the Public Prosecutor, M.Ö. was transferred to the Anadolu Courthouse on April 24, 2025. The Istanbul 6th Peace Criminal Court confiscated the driver's license for 4 months and released the individual under judicial control.
