A fight that started over a high bill at an entertainment venue in Sarıyer escalated into a shooting. In the argument over the bill, Sami K., who was thrown outside after being assaulted, later returned and fired 14 shots into the venue with his gun. There were no fatalities or injuries in the incident, and the attacker was arrested.
On Thursday, November 27, at around 06:30 in the morning, terrifying moments were experienced in the Huzur neighborhood of Sarıyer, Istanbul. According to the information obtained, Sami K. (30) arrived at an entertainment venue on the street during the night and started to spend time there.
BEATEN AND THROWN OUT OVER HIGH BILL DISPUTE
After a while, when Sami K. asked for the bill, he allegedly saw that it was high. Following this, a dispute broke out between Sami K. and the staff. The incident quickly escalated into a fight, and Sami K. was beaten by the staff and thrown out of the entertainment venue.
RETURNED WITH A GUN AND OPENED FIRE
After leaving the scene, Sami K. returned to the front of the entertainment venue in the morning. Drawing his gun, Sami K. fired 14 shots at the entertainment venue. While there were no fatalities or injuries in the attack, the entertainment venue and a nearby business were damaged by 11 bullets. The incident was captured on security cameras. When the owners of the business, Yakup T. and Mehmet Said T., arrived at the workplace, they saw numerous bullet marks on the door and walls and reported the situation to the police.
SARIYER POLICE CAUGHT HIM
The Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams, who initiated an investigation into the incident, began examining the security camera footage. In the investigations, it was determined that the suspect was Sami K. It was found that Sami K. went to Sivas after the incident and returned to Istanbul three days later. In ongoing operations, Sami K. was caught in the Kağıthane Sultan Selim neighborhood with the gun he used in the incident.
FIGHT BROKE OUT DUE TO HIGH BILL
Sami K., who was taken into custody, was brought to the police station. It was learned that in his statement, Sami K. said he went to the venue to have fun, then asked for the bill but found it high, which led to a dispute with the staff, resulting in him being beaten and thrown out.
HE WAS ARRESTED
Legal proceedings were initiated against Sami K., who was referred to the courthouse. Sami K., who was brought before the court, was arrested and sent to prison for the crimes of 'violation of the firearms law' and 'armed threat.'
