The report obtained by Ekol TV stated that the murderer Semih Çelik was experiencing psychological issues and that he "should be kept under the supervision of a relative at all times."

It was noted that Çelik was prescribed medications used in the treatment of schizophrenia, but he used these medications irregularly, and it could be risky to leave him alone without a companion in the ward.
