The demolition of the illegal sections of Baylan, one of the oldest patisseries in Istanbul located in Beşiktaş Bebek, has begun. Following an inspection by the teams of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in the morning, the illegal sections of the building that were used as a workshop were demolished. The demolition work was also captured from the air.

IBB TEAMS CONDUCTED INSPECTIONS IN THE MORNING HOURS
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) continues its demolition efforts against illegal structures located along the Bosphorus. While the demolition of the illegal sections of the Bebek Hotel was carried out yesterday, today the Baylan Patisserie located in the Bebek neighborhood of Beşiktaş came to the forefront.
IBB teams arrived at the Baylan Patisserie in the morning hours and conducted inspections on the building. Following the findings, the demolition of the illegal sections used as a production area and facing the road began.
DEMOLITION WORKS CAPTURED FROM THE AIR
The work of the teams participating in the demolition was captured by drone from the air. In the footage, it was seen that the illegal extensions of the building were being dismantled in a controlled manner and that the teams were working intensively.

Founded in 1923, Baylan Patisserie is among the iconic places of Istanbul due to its age coinciding with the history of the Republic. Known as one of the city's most famous and oldest patisseries, Baylan has continued to be a popular spot for Istanbulites for many years, especially with its branches in Beyoğlu and Bebek.

IBB officials stated that inspections and demolition efforts against illegal construction along the Bosphorus will continue resolutely.
