The experiences of Mihriban Yılmaz, who has been missing for 15 days in Izmir and was killed by Fatih İnan, have come to light during the time she was missing. It is alleged that the young girl was held captive for 10 days, during which she was continuously beaten and her face was made unrecognizable.
The body of Mihriban Yılmaz (25), who was missing for 15 days in Bornova, was found buried in the forest. Fatih İnan (26), one of the 5 suspects taken into custody, was arrested after confessing that he strangled Yılmaz and buried her in the forest.
LEFT HOME SAYING "I WILL MEET SOMEONE"
It was reported that the incident occurred on December 29, 2025, in the Ümit neighborhood. Mihriban Yılmaz, who lived with her family, reportedly left home in the evening to visit relatives living nearby and later departed, saying, "I will meet someone." It was learned that her family filed a missing person report after they could not reach her after this date.
LAST MOMENTS ON CAMERA, GOT INTO A CAR FROM A VACANT LOT
In the investigation initiated by the Public Order Branch and Bornova Police Department with the support of the Intelligence Branch, it was reported that on the day Yılmaz went missing, around 8:30 PM, she went to a vacant lot on 7309 Street and got into a car waiting there. It was determined that the person driving the car was Fatih İnan, and it was recorded that the suspect lived in the same building as Yılmaz's relatives.
BODY FOUND IN A WOODED AREA AFTER CONFESSION
As part of the investigation, Fatih İnan along with R.Ç. (34), R.Ç. (32), H.İ. (37), and Ö.İ. (25) were taken into custody. It was reported that İnan initially stated he did not know Yılmaz, but later explained that they had communicated through social media and met in the vacant lot. İnan confessed during his ongoing statement that he strangled Mihriban Yılmaz and buried her body in the forest, and it was reported that her lifeless body was found during a search at the location he indicated. After the examination by the public prosecutor, the body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
ARRESTED
Fatih İnan, one of the suspects sent to the courthouse, was arrested and sent to prison. The other 4 suspects were released under judicial control.
