The fight against the forest fire that started in the Araç district of Kastamonu in the evening continues. Six villages in the area have been evacuated, and 437 citizens along with hundreds of animals have been relocated to safe areas. The flames, which illuminated the night, have also begun to threaten the villages in the Safranbolu district of Karabük.

FLAMES HAVE REACHED SAFRANBOLU
The fire, which has been trying to be brought under control for 7 hours, has reached the borders of the villages of Geren, Aşağıdoğan, and Aşağıgüney in the Safranbolu district of Karabük.
6 VILLAGES EVACUATED
While the flames illuminating the night were captured from the air, evacuations were carried out in 6 villages due to the fire.
AIR AND GROUND INTERVENTION
Teams are intervening from the air and ground with 3 helicopters, 49 vehicles, 16 water tankers, 28 fire trucks, 1 grader, and numerous vehicles from the Forest Regional Directorate, AFAD, fire department, and Provincial Special Administration, which have been reinforced from surrounding provinces and districts.
437 CITIZENS EVACUATED
437 citizens living in the evacuated villages of Güzelce, Kızılören, Ahatlar, İhsanlı, Akgeçit, and Şiringüney, along with 490 large and small livestock, were placed in safe shelter areas. Efforts to bring the fire under control are continuing without interruption.
MINISTER YUMAKLI'S STATEMENT ON FOREST FIRES
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared the latest situation regarding the ongoing forest fires in different regions of the country.
According to the information shared by Minister Yumaklı on social media; the fire that started in Aydın Buharkent and crossed into the Denizli Buldan border has had its energy reduced. The fire in Bartın Ulus has largely been brought under control. While the energy of the fire in Aydın Efeler has been reduced, the fire in Çanakkale Ayvacık has been completely brought under control.
Yumaklı stated that efforts are ongoing to bring the fires in Karabük Eflani and Kastamonu Araç under control, emphasizing that the fight continues without interruption.
