Two members of Hamas' military wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, shot and killed one of the Israeli prisoners they were guarding. Two female prisoners were also seriously injured in the incident.

HAMAS KILLS ISRAELI PRISONER

Ebu Ubeyde, the spokesperson for the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, provided information about the incident in a statement published on Telegram. Ebu Ubeyde stated that in two separate incidents, two Kassam members assigned to guard Israeli prisoners shot and killed one prisoner and seriously injured two female prisoners.

Ebu Ubeyde emphasized that efforts to save the lives of the injured prisoners are ongoing and stated that the responsibility for the massacres in Gaza and the resulting reactions lies entirely with the Israeli government. Ebu Ubeyde mentioned that a committee has been formed to investigate the details of the incident and that a further statement will be made later.

ISRAEL RESPONDS

Meanwhile, the Israeli military spokesperson referred to Hamas' statement in a statement, stating that Kassam members killed an Israeli prisoner in two separate incidents and injured two female prisoners, but there is no intelligence information confirming or denying the incident yet. The statement also mentioned that an investigation has been launched regarding the matter.

CALL FOR NETANYAHU TO SIGN "CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT"

The Israeli security bureaucracy is urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to consider a ceasefire agreement that includes a prisoner exchange, as time is running out for the prisoners in Gaza. Following Hamas' recent statement, the pressure on Netanyahu from the families of the Israeli prisoners may increase.

After Hamas' statement, Israeli journalist Barak Ravid shared on social media, "The leaders of the security agencies have been telling Netanyahu for weeks that the (Israeli) captives (in Gaza) have no time and their lives are in danger.
