The Revenue Administration announced that there has been an increase in the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) amounts for fuel and tobacco products, based on the Domestic Producer Price Index announced yesterday. According to the new regulation, the price of gasoline has increased by 2.26 TL, diesel by 2.12 TL, and LPG by 97 kuruş, while the price increases for fuel were also reflected at the pump at midnight.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the eagerly awaited inflation figures for June yesterday. On a monthly basis, the CPI increased by 1.37%, and the PPI increased by 2.46%. The CPI in June was 16.67% compared to December of the previous year and 35.05% compared to the same month last year. The PPI was determined to be 15.71% compared to December 2024 and 24.45% compared to June of the previous year.
The Revenue Administration (GİB) also announced that there was an update in the excise tax amounts for fuel, tobacco products, and alcoholic beverages based on the PPI announced yesterday. Accordingly, it was expected that there would be an increase in the excise tax on fuel unless a contrary decision was made by President Erdoğan following the announcement of the data and GİB's announcement.
FUEL PRICE INCREASE
With no announcement in the Official Gazette regarding the matter, an increase of 2.26 TL for gasoline, 2.12 TL for diesel, and 97 kuruş for LPG was implemented. Accordingly, the current fuel prices as of Friday are as follows:
