As the airstrikes by Israel and the US against Iran continue, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence in Tehran was hit by a missile attack. The attack occurred during the night in the Seyid Handan area of Tehran, resulting in a large-scale fire at the ministry building. It was reported that the bombardment was not limited to the Ministry of Intelligence, as many strategically important locations in the city were targeted simultaneously.
As the intense air bombardment initiated by Israel and the USA against Iran continues, one of the most critical state institutions in the capital Tehran has been targeted. Iranian state media announced that the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (Ettelaat) building, located in the center of the city, was hit by a missile attack.
According to information provided by state sources, the attack occurred during the night in the Seyid Handan area of Tehran.
MINISTRY BUILDING IN FLAMES
In the footage shared from the moment of the attack, a large-scale fire is seen erupting in the targeted ministry building, and the sky is covered with thick smoke. A large number of fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
While no official statement has yet been made regarding the extent of the damage to the building, it has been reported that security measures in the area have been increased.
OTHER LOCATIONS IN TEHRAN ALSO TARGETED
It was noted that the bombardment was not limited to the Ministry of Intelligence. According to Iranian official sources, many strategically important points in the city were targeted simultaneously.
Explosions were also reported in the areas around Shariati Street and the Zarrabkhaneh intersection, as well as in the regions of Jannatabad, Niavaran, Narmak, and Amirabad.
It was reported that the sounds of explosions were heard from a large part of the city, causing panic in some civilian residential areas.
CASUALTY INFORMATION NOT CLARIFIED
Iranian officials have not yet shared an official number regarding those killed or injured in the attacks. It was stated that damage assessment work is ongoing.
The Israeli army had announced in recent hours that air superiority had been achieved over Tehran and that the "nerve centers of the regime" would continue to be targeted.
The military tension in the region and mutual statements are increasing concerns that the conflict could escalate further.
