The Israeli army, which has carried out airstrikes on many points in Lebanon, continues its attacks on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) as well. Bulldozers belonging to the Israeli army deliberately destroyed the observation tower and surrounding fence at the UNIFIL position in Marwahin.

ISRAEL IGNORES ALL UN WARNINGS

In a statement from UNIFIL, it was emphasized that "we remind the Israeli army and all actors of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property, and to always respect the inviolability of UN facilities," and it was stated, "Once again, we declare that attacking UN positions and damaging UN assets is a clear violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 1701."

DELIBERATE DAMAGE TO UN POSITIONS

In the statement, it was reported that the Israeli army has repeatedly demanded UNIFIL to evacuate its positions on the Blue Line representing the Israel-Lebanon border and has deliberately damaged UN positions. It was stated, "Despite the pressure applied to the countries contributing to the mission, peacekeeping soldiers continue to remain at all positions. We will continue to fulfill our monitoring and reporting duties."
