SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE NECK
On November 15, the incident occurred when a man named Vahap Selim Çetin went to the house of his girlfriend Semra Demirelli, who is a reporter for Kanal Fırat Television. While Demirelli's mother was also at home, a dispute allegedly arose between the couple due to "jealousy." During this time, Çetin fired at Demirelli with the gun he brought with him. Demirelli, who was shot in the back of the neck, was seriously injured, while the suspect fled.
COMMITTED SUICIDE WITH THE SAME GUN
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Çetin, who fled the scene, also shot himself in the head with his gun in the Akçakiraz district. Çetin, who was seriously injured, died at Fethi Sekin City Hospital where he was taken.
LOST HER 49-DAY BATTLE FOR LIFE
Demirelli, who was taken to Fırat University Hospital, lost her 49-day battle for life. Demirelli's body was taken to the morgue for autopsy.
