The ongoing heavy rain in Istanbul has caused flooding on the Sarıyer Kemerburgaz Road. A truck lost control and overturned into a creek bed, while other vehicles trying to navigate the road faced difficult moments as the water level rose.
Heavy rainfall that has been affecting Istanbul for days has turned the Sarıyer Kemerburgaz Road into a lake. In the area where the roads were submerged, a truck lost control and overturned into the riverbed.
TRANSPORTATION IN SARIYER HAS COME TO A STANDSTILL
Due to the heavy rain, deep puddles formed on the roads, causing difficult moments for drivers. It was captured on camera that vehicles trying to progress on Kemerburgaz Road struggled as the water level rose, with some passenger cars submerged halfway.
TRUCK FELL INTO THE RIVERBED
On the road where visibility decreased and the ground became slippery, a truck lost control and overturned into the riverbed, lying on its side. While part of the overturned truck was seen submerged in water, bystanders rushed to help.
NEARBY VEHICLES ALSO GOT STRANDED
At the scene, not only the truck but also a light commercial vehicle was stranded due to the rising waters. The driver tried for a long time to get the vehicle out of the water but was unsuccessful.
While traffic flow in the area came to a standstill, those affected by the rain waited a long time for the intervention of municipal and rescue teams.
