The words of Atrak Kaleş, who lost his daughter-in-law and three grandchildren in the earthquake on February 6 in Hatay, "It wasn't a one-year-old apartment, can it collapse in 3 seconds?" broke hearts.

In the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, measuring 7.7 and 7.6, Nurşen Kaleş, who lived in the Antakya district of Hatay, lost her children Fatih (18), Enes, and Melek Kaleş as their apartment collapsed in the first seconds of the earthquake.

THE LAMENT BURNED HEARTS

On the second anniversary of the earthquake, Atrak Kaleş (65) visited the graves of his daughter-in-law and three grandchildren at the "Narlıca Earthquake Martyrs" cemetery. The lament he recited while gently touching the gravestones of his grandchildren and daughter-in-law burned hearts. Atrak Kaleş expressed at the graveside, "Our pain is very great and does not subside. A new building had been constructed. Can a one-year-old building collapse in 3 seconds? It collapsed, they were under the rubble for 7 days. They were taken out after 7 days. May God not let anyone experience this, may our Lord give us patience. There was not a day my tears did not flow, they are always in our minds."
