We bid farewell to this beautiful person who shared his endless energy and heart full of love for humanity, healing his patients every morning and dedicating himself to his profession. We wish God's mercy upon our dear İsmail and offer our condolences to his grieving family, friends, and the Koç Health Group employees. After the memorial ceremony to be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, in Hall A of the American Hospital, his funeral will be held the same day at Teşvikiye Mosque following the noon prayer, and he will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Hereke."
WHO IS İSMAİL BOZKURT?
Born in 1965 in Esslingen, Germany, İsmail Bozkurt completed his primary and secondary education at Istanbul St. Georg Austrian High School, and then began his higher education at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna. After graduating in 1983, he completed his specialist training in family medicine at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Hospital. Bozkurt received a master's degree in hospital management and quality in healthcare from Berlin University in 2015.
Dr. Bozkurt started working at the American Hospital as a family medicine specialist in 2001 and was appointed Deputy Responsible Manager in 2011. In 2013, he became the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement. Since 2014, Dr. Bozkurt had been serving as the Chief Physician and Responsible Manager of the American Hospital.
