Famous folk singer Ankaralı Turgut, whose real name is Turgut Karataş, was hospitalized a few weeks ago due to complaints of stomach pain. The 61-year-old artist was diagnosed with cancer following tests conducted at the hospital. His daughter Eylem Boran shared photos of her father taken in the hospital on social media, asking for prayers.

During his illness, Ankaralı Turgut, who lost weight and faced financial difficulties, was unable to start smart drug treatment. Later, he moved to his daughter's house, where he received support from friends and fans. However, Ankaralı Turgut claimed that the donation money collected for him did not reach him and harshly criticized his children.

Turgut stated, "They have been living off my money for 27 years; have they ever earned money themselves? We are feeding the son-in-law with father’s money! My son, Özlem, Hasret, they are all the same... They have become a gang. Have they ever eaten halal money? They want to take the money collected for my medication by threatening me. Let everyone know this!" expressing his rebellion against his family.
