The spokesperson for the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia, Turki al-Maliki, announced that Aydarus al-Zubaidi, the leader of the separatist Southern Transitional Council supported by the United Arab Emirates, went missing before traveling to Riyadh. An investigation has been launched against Zubaidi on charges of treason.

The spokesperson of the Saudi Arabia-led Arab Coalition supporting the legitimate government recognized by the United Nations, Turki al-Maliki, stated that Aydarus al-Zubaidi, the leader of the separatist Southern Transitional Council (STC) supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has gone missing before his trip to Riyadh to address the disputes. Spokesperson Maliki said that the plane carrying numerous senior leaders of the separatist group took off without Zubaidi after a delay of more than 3 hours, and there is no information regarding the whereabouts of the separatist leader. Maliki stated, "Information has emerged that Zubaidi mobilized a large armed force during the delay with calls for mobilization."

ZUBAIDI ACCUSED OF TREASON

The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, issued a decree against Zubaidi, who is accused of treason. The decree signed by Alimi stated, "The Presidential Leadership Council today, on Wednesday, has decided to remove Aydarus al-Zubaidi from his position as the head of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) due to the crime of treason and to refer him to the Public Prosecutor." It was also noted that the country's attorney general would initiate an investigation regarding the allegations. Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition carried out more than 15 airstrikes on the hometown of Aydarus al-Zubaidi in ed-Dali early in the morning following the separatist leader's disappearance.
