ACQUITTAL CONGRESS HELD
The acquittal of Ekmekçioğlu, who served as president of the black-and-white club between 2016-2022 and led the team from the 3rd League to the Super League during that period, was presented to the votes of the general assembly members 3 years, 2 months, and 10 days later. The acquittal congress for the Ekmekçioğlu period took place with the participation of 94 general assembly members in the Faal Football Referees Association Hall at Atatürk Stadium.
ÖZGÜR EKMEKÇİOĞLU AND HIS MANAGEMENT WERE NOT ACQUITTED
Özgür Ekmekçioğlu, who was acquitted and resigned at the tumultuous congress on April 28, 2022, was not acquitted this time at the general assembly held due to the lawsuits filed. In a statement regarding the congress, Altay said, "In the extraordinary general assembly meeting held, in accordance with the decision of the İzmir 20th Civil Court of First Instance numbered 2022/204 E - 2024/5 K, the acquittal item discussed and brought to the agenda at the general assembly held on 28.04.2022 has been presented again to the votes of our general assembly members. As a result of the open voting, a total of 94 general assembly members voted, and unanimously, all did not acquit the management of the relevant period."
DECISION MAY BE TAKEN TO COURT
The statement included, "Thus, the board of directors that served during the relevant period was not acquitted unanimously by the will of the general assembly. We believe that this step we have taken in line with the principles of transparency, accountability, and corporate responsibility in the club's management is an important turning point for the future of Altay Sports Club; we consider it our duty to inform each member of our community about this process. It is respectfully announced to all our community and the great Altay fans." VAHDETTİN HEYAL HAS AN OFFER
Vahdettin Heyal, who provides financial support to the current management of Yüksel Gürüz at Altay, also made a call to the non-acquitted management via social media. Heyal announced that they could reach an agreement with the non-acquitted management and thus relieve the club of some of its burdens. In his post, Vahdettin Heyal stated, "Open call….
