After reading what our child wrote, both my wife and I became unable to think."
V.D. also mentioned that his 12-year-old daughter M.D. gave her statement under expert supervision, saying, "When the prosecutor took her statement, he took it again to ensure there were no questions in her mind. He referred the case for arrest. But when we looked, this person was released in Istanbul under judicial control and a travel ban. We immediately appealed this."

Since the children stayed with their grandmother, it was very easy for him to get close. He could take them to the shopping mall outside. Because you don't suspect, it's a person in your family. My child cannot give such detailed dates. He could sail his boat as he wished. Because he was free, he could move comfortably. Even though the people around him knew he was a child abuser, they didn't speak up."

V.D. claimed that before his daughter M.D., his close relatives, 23-year-old K.D. and 25-year-old sister I.A., were also subjected to K.K.'s harassment, saying, "They currently live in Gebze. This incident was not brought to light for years despite being known. They know why it wasn't brought to light. Because my wife and I didn't know about this situation. But some people knew."
