In the footage, Meltem Miraloğlu explained that their identities were stolen and that she was being held hostage in America with the following words:

I found my place in the art world as the lead character of a series that has been breaking viewership records every week in 13 countries. I would like to state that I am making this statement not as an interview with the press, but because I have filed a criminal complaint with all television stations. My aim is to ensure that all my videos are delivered as a whole to the Immigration Federal Supreme Court Human Rights judge with English subtitles. I want to be provided with a lawyer and defend my rights. My entry into Turkey is being blocked in America, where I am being held hostage after my identities were stolen. I want to obtain my American citizenship and regain my freedom."
