The incident occurred at Çobanlı Pier in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of the Atakum district. According to reports, teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Maritime Port Branch, the Coast Guard Black Sea Regional Command, the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, and health teams were dispatched to the scene following a report that a person had fallen into the sea from the pier.
BODY RECOVERED FROM THE SEA
During the search efforts in the sea, the lifeless body of Mümin E. (32) was located 100 meters off Çobanlı Pier.
The body of Mümin E., retrieved from the water by diving police, was taken to the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Presidency for an autopsy after an examination was conducted at the scene. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
