Chairperson of the New Party Özgür Özel put an end to the debates regarding the party's logo. Emphasizing that the current visual is not a logo but a memorable name design, Özel stated that they could conduct surveys for the actual logo and, if necessary, organize a design competition. Süleyman Bülbül from the New Party also said, "The decision will be made by the citizens at the congress."
New Party leader Özgür Özel responded to questions from journalist Deniz Zeyrek about the party's logo during a YouTube broadcast he attended. Addressing the public debate over the current emblem's function, Özel stated that the visual used was designed not as a logo but to make the party's name visible.
Regarding the purpose of the design, Özel said, "This is not our party's logo, it is our party's name. We designed our party's name to be visible, to create awareness, and to be memorable."
"THERE ARE VARIOUS SUGGESTIONS REGARDING THE LOGO"
Continuing his remarks, Özel indicated that the visual in use could change, adding, "This is not a logo. Such logo usage like ours no longer exists in the world. In other words, political parties abroad use their names as logos. This involves certain letters, a 'new' arising from the horizon line. If it were to be interpreted as a logo, the party's name is already written below as New Party. There are various suggestions regarding the logo. As I said, we have set up a political technical structure ahead, we are establishing the political institution. Whether this is a logo or not, whether an additional logo should exist, we will measure through surveys, focus group studies, provincial and district congresses we will hold, contributions from those involved in the establishment, and some digital studies via social media. For now, the name New Party may become a logo. Or we could design a new logo and present it for voting, using highly participatory methods."
NEW PARTY'S BÜLBÜL: THE CITIZENS WILL DECIDE
New Party Aydın Deputy Süleyman Bülbül stated, "This emblem is not our logo. The logo has not been determined yet. We will go to the congress. At the congress, the citizens will likely decide."
